The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Godfra Hermitte, is currently attending a regional conference in Réunion.

Mr. Hermitte is participating in the Conference of Chiefs of Police of the Southern Indian Ocean in Saint-Denis, which commenced on 21st April and concludes on 22nd April 2026. The conference brings together regional law enforcement leaders to strengthen cooperation and address shared security challenges, with a primary focus on combating narcotics trafficking. Key discussions include:
- Sharing best practices,
- Enhancing operational cooperation,
- Developing joint strategies against drug trafficking networks.
The Commissioner’s participation underscores Seychelles’ commitment to regional collaboration in combating transnational crime and safeguarding public safety. He is supported at the conference by Chief Superintendent Jemmy Bouzin.
