Arrival of 19 Police Officers from Rwanda

The Seychelles Police Force proudly welcomes the arrival of 19 police officers who have successfully completed a Cadet Officer Course and specialized training programmes in Rwanda.
The officers underwent intensive training at the Police Training School in Gishari, where cadet courses are designed to develop leadership, discipline, and professional policing skills over an extended period . This training equips officers with the knowledge and competencies required to effectively respond to modern security challenges.
Notably, Seychelles has been actively collaborating with the Rwanda National Police under a bilateral partnership aimed at strengthening policing capacity and international cooperation. As part of this collaboration, a group of Seychelles officers previously joined the cadet programme in Rwanda, marking a significant milestone in professional development
The officers arrived back home this afternoon and were warmly received by senior officers, their families and friends, including the Commissioner of Police Mr Godfra Hermitte. Their return marks not only the successful completion of a demanding training journey but also a major step forward in enhancing the operational readiness and professionalism of the Seychelles Police Force.
Their newly acquired skills and experience will greatly contribute to maintaining public safety, strengthening national security, and supporting community policing efforts across the country.
