Forum Debrief Session

Following the official declaration of the opening of the Arrive Alive Project 2025–2026 by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Ted Barbe, a Forum Debrief Session was held. The objective of the forum was to provide a meaningful platform for police officers to engage directly with family members who have lost loved ones in fatal road accidents.
The session allowed families to share their experiences, challenges faced after such tragic incidents, and their expectations moving forward. It also provided valuable insight for police officers who respond to critical and traumatic accident scenes, enabling open discussion on areas for improvement and ways forward in enhancing both operational response and victim support.
The forum was chaired by Ms Berly Dodin, alongside Mr Gerald from the National Council for Children (NCC). This marked the first time the Seychelles Police Force organised such a forum, highlighting its commitment to empathy, accountability, and community engagement.
At the conclusion of the forum, each participant received a Christmas card from the Seychelles Police Force as a gesture of solidarity, compassion, and support during the festive season, while acknowledging the pain of their loss.
